Everything You Need to Know

How can I book a free trial?

Please use the contact form on the website. We will contact you to ask for more details and will find the best available slot for a free trial to suit you and your swimmers based on our availability and your preferences.

What happens after the free trial?

What does my child need to bring to lessons?

Swim wear (costume or swim shorts); goggles (if used); towel.; a swim hat (if at St Andrew’s pool in Soham) We provide all aids required. Please ensure we have received your booking form with all relevant medical details if not please bring to the trial lesson.

What is the best way to communicate any problems/changes we need to make?

After the initial trial we will discuss with you and the teacher to be sure the class is the best option for your swimmer. If we feel there is a better option we will let you know. Once we have confirmed the day and time of the lesson you will receive a confirmation email with dates and payment details.

The best way to contact us is by the info@ email address but we recommend copying in the seahorse email address also. We will do our best to reply within 24hours but in busier periods or the holidays it may take a little longer.

Where are our swimming pools?

Soham – St Andrew’s CofE Primary School

Ely – Cambridge Road, King’s Ely School, HFA (Highfields Academy Ely)

Littleport – HLA (Highfields Littleport Academy)

Hereward House - Witchford

Little Thetford

Empress pool - Chatteris

Woodlands pool - Sutton

We operate from a number of pools which vary in depth and size. We aim to accommodate swimmers in the pool which suits best logistically but if we do not feel the pool will suit your child’s ability we will let you know all the best options/venues for lessons.

Each child is an individual within the swim school. Teachers assess swimmers based on the criteria of our award scheme (Splash Awards). All criteria must be achieved to a consistently high standard in order to achieve an award. We also assess for distance awards from 5m to 1500m. Swimmers receive badges and certificates at the end of term at no additional charge. Teachers complete half term reports which are available on request and which indicate progression towards the swimmer’s next award. If your child is not ready to receive their next award you will be given a written report on which criteria they need to complete.  If you ever have a query about your child’s progression please email us.
